In 1963, Joan Miro and his publisher Louis Broder embarked on the first edition of "Le Lezard aux plumes d'or", a series of 18 colour lithographs to accompany a poem. However, due to defects in the manufactoring of the paper that affected the colours, the edition was cancelled. This lithograph is a rare proof produced before the edition was abandoned.
